According to “Reuters”, the protesters threw the security forces who responded with bullets and tear gas.
Myanmar Now confirmed the news that two people were killed in the city, and stated that about 20 trucks carrying police and security forces arrived at the site of the accident, in addition to two trucks equipped with water cannons, with the aim of dispersing the protesters, adding that security forces fired about 50 bullets in the air and arrested 10 people. at least.
Last Friday, a woman died of a gunshot wound to the head during the police dispersal of a protest in the capital, Naypyidaw.
On the other hand, the army announced that a police officer had died from being injured during a protest.
Tensions are rising in Myanmar against the backdrop of continuing anti-coup demonstrations in support of the release of the detained leaders, led by the head of the “National League for Democracy” Aung San Suu Kyi.
The military seized power in Myanmar early this month, claiming that the results of the elections that took place in November were rigged and won by the National League for Democracy.
