The Tennessean’s Erik Bacharach break down how the Titans were able to get a win over the Bills following a team COVID-19 outbreak.
Broncos running back Melvin Gordon was cited overnight and charged with driving under the influence in Denver, according to court records.
Denver County Court records obtained by USA TODAY Sports show Denver police stopped Gordon late Tuesday after allegedly driving between 25-39 mph over the speed limit. He was also charged with two separate misdemeanors of driving under the influence.
“We are aware of the situation involving Melvin Gordon,” the Broncos said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports. “Our organization has been in communication with him and is in the process of gathering more details.”
Gordon could face league punishment, including a potential suspension.
His case is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 13.
Gordon, 27, signed with the Broncos this offseason after spending the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Chargers. The former Heisman Trophy runner-up (2015) is a two-time Pro Bowler (2016, 2018) and entered the 2020 campaign with 4,240 rushing yards and 47 total touchdowns.
In Denver’s most recent game, the Broncos’ first victory of the season, Gordon rushed 23 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns against the New York Jets.
