Memphis Grizzlies big man Steven Adams called San Antonio rookie Jeremy Sochan a ‘dirty b******’ in the closing moments of Wednesday’s game.
The high-flying Grizz finally toppled a young Spurs team in overtime 124-122, despite Sochan’s reported distraction tactics on Adams.
It has since been revealed by Adams that the San Antonio youngster pinched his nipple in an attempt to disrupt the giant New Zealander.

Adams regaled his version of events postgame via ESPN NBA reporter, Tim MacMahon.
‘In the last play of the game, he was messing me around — pinching me and stuff,’ Adams said.
‘I was like, “get out of here, dude!” He punched my nipple. I was like, “get out of here, ya dirty bastard!” Trying to break my concentration.’
Sochan has been a bright spark with his relentless persistence and desire to get under the skin
Sochan has impressed for the Spurs organization in his rookie season since being taken ninth overall in the 2022 NBA Draft.
The 19-year-old, drafted out of Baylor, has averaged 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists through 12 games of his NBA career.
Adams is in his 10th season in the NBA and second as a Grizzlies player after a brief one-year stop in New Orleans, and seven prior in Oklahoma City.
He is averaging 6.4 points, 11.5 rebounds — a career high — and 2,4 assists in 12 games.
