Metro records another incident; wagon tilts

The Mexico City Metro Collective Transportation System (STC) denied that the incident recorded early Tuesday morning in the maneuvering yard of the El Rosario station on Line 6 was a train derailment.

He maintained that a wagon tilted on secondary roads without affecting the service to users. He assured that technicians from the areas of rolling stock, fixed installations and transportation, coupled the wagon to the track. Later the train was transferred to a garage.

“The incident in which a wagon tipped over the track occurred last Tuesday night, on secondary tracks and without affecting the service to users. It was not a derailment,” he said in a fact card.

The Metro reported that it notified the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office to initiate the corresponding investigation file.

Just last January 13, the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, visited the El Rosario workshops to “listen to the workers and their needs.”

They evacuate station

This Tuesday morning, users of Metro Line A reported that they were evicted from a train at the Agrícola Oriental station, due to alleged failures in the operation of the doors.

Videos were shown through social networks where the evacuation of one of the convoys was observed at the Agrícola Oriental station, because the doors were not closed. The foregoing generated delays of more than 40 minutes on the entire Line A. The Metro did not make any pronouncement on this event.
