Cancun, QR. The participation of the Mexican Caribbean in the International Tourism Fair of Spain (Feature), maintains a tight schedule of work appointments in which the Tourism Promotion Council of Quintana Roo has attended about 35 meetings per day.
For its part, the Secretary of Tourism He has maintained an agenda with directors of companies in the sector, including Iberojet, Inverotel, C-Trip Europe, Sunwing Group, among others.
On this second day of activities at Fitur, Bernardo Cuento, Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo, and Andrés Aguilar, Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion and Operation, held a working meeting with representatives of the hotel associations of the Riviera Maya, Cancún, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres, and Tulum in order to improve communication and teamwork and thus continue to strengthen the relationship between the public and private sectors.
Likewise, a meeting was held with the director of Affiliate Members of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), giving continuity to the UN 2030 agenda and the relevance of the Master Plan for Sustainable Tourism Quintana Roo 2030; public policy for which the government of Quintana Roo was congratulated.
It was reported that they have also attended interviews with specialized media and meetings with airlines seeking to increase air connectivity in the Mexican Caribbean with Spain, which has flights from Barcelona with the LEVEL airline and from Madrid with Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Iberojet and World2Fly.
“From the Ministry of Tourism we will continue to channel actions that reinforce the work that gives continuity to the impulse that the governor, Carlos Joaquín González, has given within the state. We will continue working so that the tourist reactivation develops in a responsible and safe manner, achieving a fairer and more sustainable tourism, for the benefit of tourists, visitors and inhabitants of our State”, commented Bernardo Cueto Riestra, Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo.
Agreement
During the previous day, states in the southeast, including Quintana Roo, signed a collaboration agreement with Julio Gamero, general director of the prestigious airline TAG, in order to establish mechanisms through which efforts will be joined to structure projects related to the promotion and tourist dissemination of the Mayan World.
Among the objectives of the agreement, the following stand out: to design and execute actions that attend to innovation, diffusion and commercialization in national and international markets that both parties consider strategic and a priority for their wide potential.
Likewise, the ribbon of the Pavilion that integrates all the destinations of Quintana Roo was cut, where they were present; Miguel Torruco Marqués, Secretary of Federal Tourism; Bernardo Cueto, Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo; Andrés Aguilar, undersecretary of Tourism Promotion and Operation; Lili Campos, municipal president of Solidarity; Marciano Dzul municipal president of Tulum; Jesús Almaguer, representative of the Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres Hotel Association and Toni Chaves, president of the Riviera Maya Hotel Association.
