Within the benchmark index, most components ended the day with gains, with 25 in the green and 10 in the red. The best performances were those of Industrias Peñoles, with 8.64%, and the airport firm OMA, with 4.80 percent.
Traders are speculating about the magnitude of the next Fed and Banxico rate hikes, after comments from US central bank officials last week and biweekly inflation data from Mexico.
