Mexican stock market advances after an erratic session start; market awaits minutes from Banxico

Las stock markets of Mexico They operate with slight advances after an opening in the red. The local stock indices show erratic behavior at the beginning of a session that is expected to be low volume due to the US holiday Thanksgiving.

The leading index S&P/BMV IPC from Mexican stock exchange (BMV), made up of the 35 most traded shares in the domestic market, gains 0.11% to 52,052.83 points. The FTSE BIVAfrom Institutional Stock Market (Biva), rises 0.13% to 1,087.32 units.

Within the benchmark, most components are trading at a profit, with 22 stocks in the green and 13 in the red. The best performances are the shares of Grupo BMV, with 1.06%; Grupo Televisa, with 0.91%, and FEMSA, with 0.89 percent.

If the day ended positively, the Mexican stock market would link four consecutive days of gains. Yesterday the S&P/BMV IPC index recorded its best close since May 30, after learning the minutes of the meeting of the US Federal Reserve.

Investors will receive the minutes of the Banco de México meeting later in the day, in which they await information on future rate increases that the central bank will make and forecasts for the rate at the end of this restrictive cycle.
