Las stock markets of Mexico they fell sharply in the last session of 2022. With falls of more than 2%, the stock indices extended the decline in a difficult year for risky assets, amid the fight against inflation.
The leading index S&P/BMV IPC from Mexican stock exchange (BMV), made up of the 35 most liquid shares in the domestic market, accumulated a decrease of 8.95% in the year compared to its closing of 53,272.44 units last year.

The main index of the local market broke a green streak of two consecutive months with gains in December, falling 6.23% from 51,684.86 points in November. In the session, the index lost 213%, stringing together three setbacks.
Within the index, most stocks fell, with 30 in the red and five in the green. The worst values were those of the mining companies Industrias Peñoles, with 7.44%, and Grupo México, which registered a loss of 3.66 percent.
