Mexico stagnated in the fight against corruption in the last year. The International Transparency Index 2021 showed that the country did not advance even one position in the ranking.
Mexico obtained a score of 31 units on a scale from 0 to 100 where a higher result implies a better situation. At these same levels are countries such as Niger, Gabon and Papua New Guinea.
The international organization recommended to Mexico that “the corruption It must move from investigations to effective sanctions.”
