(CNN) — The actor Michael J. Fox was participating this Sunday in a round table on “Back to the future” when he suffered a fall.
Fox was at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia for a question-and-answer session about the film. When he was introduced and bowed he lost his balance, falling and crashing into a sofa.
Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at age 29, in 1991. This disease can affect balance.
His co-stars Christopher Lloyd and Tom Wilson were also on stage.
Fox recently stated that his battle against Parkinson’s has gotten more difficult. “I’m not going to be 80,” she told “CBS Sunday Morning.”
And he added: “I’m not going to lie. It’s getting tough, it’s getting very tough. Every day it’s harder. Every day it’s tougher.”
In 2000, the “Family Ties” alumnus created the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, which has raised more than $1 billion in funding.
His documentary, “Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie,” is available on Apple TV+.
