(CNN) — Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon are starring in a new rom-com, but their chemistry wasn’t quite as apparent in real life.
According to Reese Witherspoon, fellow star Mila Kunis and Kutcher’s wife caught the attention of the co-stars after their recent red carpet appearance together.
“He even emailed us last night,” Witherspoon said of Kunis on “Today.” “She’s like, ‘You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together.’ … It’s funny because when you get to know a friend that much, it was fun to meet her better half because I’ve loved her for so long.”
The internet was also noticing the same thing about Witherspoon and Kutcher, who are starring in Netflix’s new rom-com “Your Place or Mine.”
Witherspoon had high praise for Kutcher.
“He’s so professional. He’s the funniest guy,” she said.
“I mean, so goofy.” Witherspoon continued. “We had a lot of fun, and every time she put on a funny outfit, I’d text Mila. She’d say, ‘What’s she wearing?’
“Your Place or Mine” opens this Friday.
