Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi said: Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades It relied on what is known as the “IED” method, or innovative bombings, to defeat the Israeli infantry force in Beit Hanoun, north of Gaza strip.
Al-Duwairi explained that this method is carried out by trained and equipped individuals who place an explosive charge in a specific device and place and then connect it to a television or electrical circuit to detonate it.
According to Al-Duwairi, Al-Qassam relied on the camera to lure the force, placing it at a specific point, and when it was discovered, a number of individuals had entered the place, and here the explosion took place.
Al-Qassam – the military wing – was broadcast Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – A video clip of an operation to lure an engineering force into one of the tunnels in the Beit Hanoun area. The occupation army announced that 5 of its members were killed in the operation, including an officer.
Al-Duwairi said that the resistance relies on very modest but effective weapons in the face of the highly advanced Israeli war machine, stressing that the resistance is creative in this confrontation.
Regarding creativity, Al-Duwairi pointed out that the resistance was able to design the 120 mm mortar shell in a way that makes it capable of being fired from inside a tunnel, so that mechanisms, crowds, and individuals are used without appearing on the surface of the ground.
He said that these available weapons, which appear to be primitive, were able to stop the advance of two divisions supported by the Givati Brigade, the Golani Brigade, and the Paratroopers Brigade, for 15 days.
Al-Qassam had published a video showing the process of launching shells from inside one of the Gaza tunnels.
