Miranda Kerr is demonstrating her steadfast support for Katy Perry following the singer’s recent split from their mutual ex, Orlando Bloom. In a recent Instagram post titled “Summer so far,” the model shared a series of photos and videos, which included clips of her attending Perry’s concert at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
The public gesture was not lost on fans, who praised Kerr in the comments for her class and supportive friendship. One user noted, “It’s always refreshing to see ladies supporting each other, especially in blended family situations,” while another commented, “Love the mama and step mama love.”
Kerr’s post comes just weeks after Perry and Bloom, who were engaged and share a daughter, officially announced their separation. In a joint statement, representatives for the former couple confirmed they would move forward “as a family” to raise their daughter “with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
Prior to the official announcement, sources close to the couple suggested the separation stemmed from busy, divergent lifestyles, claiming they had been “growing apart” for months. An insider also alleged that Perry was relieved not to be facing another divorce, following her contentious separation from ex-husband Russell Brand.
Bloom was previously married to Kerr from 2010 to 2013, and they co-parent their son, Flynn. Over the years, both Kerr and Perry have been vocal about their mutual admiration and commitment to their modern family.
Meanwhile, Perry was recently photographed dining with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Le Violon in Montreal. The singer, in Canada for her “Lifetimes” world tour, appeared to be in good spirits during the meal.
