One of college football’s oldest and most intense rivalries, the “Border War,” will be renewed Saturday in Columbia as Missouri hosts Kansas for the first time in 14 years.
Missouri (1-0) enters the contest looking to extend an 11-game home winning streak after a decisive 61-6 victory over Central Arkansas in its season opener. The Tigers will face an undefeated Kansas (2-0) squad, which has already secured wins against Fresno State and Wagner.
The last meeting between the two programs occurred in 2011, before Missouri’s move from the Big 12 to the SEC. Underscoring the game’s national significance, SEC Nation will be on-site in Columbia to broadcast live pregame coverage.
The game is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. CDT kickoff on Saturday, September 6, at Faurot Field. It will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2, with Mike Monaco handling play-by-play duties, joined by analyst Kirk Morrison and sideline reporter Dawn Davenport. Live streaming will be available via FUBO and ESPN+.
For radio listeners, the Tiger Radio Network will provide coverage on 1580 AM and 105.1 FM, as well as on Sirius XM channels 121 or 192 (local) and 80 (national). The broadcast team consists of Mike Kelly, Howard Richards, and Chris Gervino.
Mizzou Athletics has announced the game is a sellout. Fans attending are advised to arrive early due to ongoing construction around Memorial Stadium and on Interstate 70. The weather forecast for kickoff predicts clear skies with a temperature of 74 degrees.
