Mo Bamba’s early years in the NBA have not been as good as one might expect. As number 6 in the 2018 draft, the center of the University of Texas was a new promise in the physical evolution of the game. His size and mobility anticipated a physically gifted man adaptable to an NBA that moves at breakneck speed. However, his first two years left the cross that usually affects these types of profiles. Difficulties gaining weight, getting into the rhythm of competition and constant injuries.
At times last year Bamba seemed to slam this inconsistency and this year it has finally revealed itself as one of the few positive news in a Magic that feels like home. “I’m excited to continue wearing this shirt” recognize to Michael Scotto para Hoopshype. Bamba will be a restricted free agent at the end of this course, although Orlando has the option of offering him a qualified offer before he hears other offers.
However, the player cannot think of anything other than staying in the Florida franchise. «The sky is the limit for this group. I want to be part of this and for now I focus on the present. During the talk, Bamba was very happy with the changes brought about by the arrival of Jamahl Mosley as a coach. “It gives me more defensive freedom, I can match up with more players.” He also acknowledges that it has taken him a lot of work to become the player he is today, but that he has finally understood his role within the group. Mo Bamba may not be a unicorn in the sense that the term is usually given, but in the last year he has left a matter about which there could be doubts. The center is a legitimate NBA player.
