The Emirati news agency “WAM” announced that the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, received on Friday the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri.
According to the UAE agency, during the meeting, aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries and a number of regional and international issues of common concern were discussed, in addition to the Corona pandemic and its repercussions at various levels and ways to deal with it and contain its effects.
Bin Zayed also briefed Hariri on the latest developments and developments on the Lebanese arena, especially those related to the formation of the new government.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi expressed his wishes for the success of the mission to form a Lebanese government that “takes into account the national interest, transcends differences and is able to face the challenges surrounding Lebanon,” stressing that “the UAE stands with the brotherly Lebanese people to achieve their aspirations for unity, stability and development.”
For his part, Hariri congratulated the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi on the success of the “Probe of Hope” in reaching the planet Mars, appreciating “the stances of the United Arab Emirates always in support of Lebanon and its support in facing the Corona pandemic.”
