The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that a 17-year-old boy was martyred by occupation bullets in the Jalazoun camp north of Ramallah, which raises the death toll in the West Bank since October 7 to 105 martyrs, and to 313 martyrs since the beginning of this year.
Confrontations have continued in the West Bank with the Israeli army in solidarity with Gaza since the beginning of the aggression against it, and today, Thursday, confrontations broke out between dozens of Palestinians and the Israeli army at the entrance to the Jalazoun camp.
Anatolia Agency quoted eyewitnesses that the occupation forces closed a main street between Ramallah and the Jalazoun camp with cement cubes, and also used live and metal bullets to disperse the Palestinians who threw stones at the forces.
Storming and injuries in Tubas
The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that 8 Palestinians were injured during the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of the city of Tubas, in the northern West Bank, this morning. It also announced that 4 were injured by live bullets, and one person was injured by being run over by a military jeep.
The occupation forces stormed the “Tayasir” area, east of the city of Tubas, surrounded a house, and demanded one of its residents to surrender himself. It also sent military reinforcements to the area, which led to confrontations with Palestinians before it withdrew.
A number of activists and families of prisoners closed the headquarters of the International Red Cross in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate this morning, in protest against Israeli violations against prisoners, and what they described as the organization’s silence regarding what is happening inside the occupation prisons.
Palestinian institutions concerned with prisoners’ affairs expressed, in a statement, their disapproval at what they described as the suspicious silence surrounding the position of the International Red Cross regarding the attack on prisoners in the occupation prisons, especially since the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle and the declaration of war on Gaza. It called on the organization to directly announce who is obstructing its work.
For the 20th day, the Israeli army continues to target Gaza with intense air strikes that destroyed entire neighborhoods, killing 7,028 Palestinians, including 2,913 children, 1,709 women, and 397 elderly people, and wounding 18,484 people, in addition to more than 1,650 missing people under the rubble.
Hundreds of prisoners were arrested
On Thursday, the Israeli army announced the arrest of a thousand Palestinians in the West Bank since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, including 660 from Hamas.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (non-governmental), said in a statement on Thursday that the number of people arrested by Israel in the West Bank since October 7 has reached 1,460.
He added that the number of prisoners in the occupation prisons, according to available data, reached about 6,700 after the escalating arrest campaigns since October 7 of this year.
Ben Gvir creates an armed militia
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities reported that the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, is working to form armed emergency factions of Israelis inside the Green Line and settlers in the West Bank.
The Ministry of National Security and the police began recruiting members for these factions and handing them rifles and protective equipment.
The Ministry explained that these factions will work under the command of police stations in Israeli cities and towns.
According to Israeli media sites, 600 factions have been formed so far, and Ben Gvir also called on qualified Israelis to volunteer in them.
Israeli authorities had warned that Ben Gvir was establishing an armed militia under his command, which would explode the situation in Israel and the West Bank.
