On Monday, the Moroccan Ministry of Health recorded 656 new cases of the Coronavirus, down from 1,005 on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 443,802.
The ministry also recorded 53 new deaths, up from 33 on Sunday, which brings the number of people dead from the Coronavirus in the Kingdom to 7,538.
1579 patients recovered, bringing the number of people recovering to 414,972.
Moroccan Health Minister Khaled Ait Taleb said that achieving herd immunity depends on vaccination of at least 60 percent of the population.
He added that the Chinese and British vaccines that the Kingdom chose to combat the Coronavirus “are recognized by the drug-administering bodies in both countries.”
He announced that Morocco had received 65 million doses of the vaccine to vaccinate 25 million of the Kingdom’s population.
