“This new batch will allow a steady continuation of the national vaccination campaign in Morocco,” said Said Afif, a member of the scientific committee at the Ministry of Health.
The shipment from India is expected to arrive at Casablanca airport on Thursday afternoon.
Morocco received two million doses last month of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine and 500 thousand doses of the vaccine of the Chinese “Sinopharm”.
As of Wednesday, the number of people who were vaccinated in Morocco reached 746,116, and the number of injuries reached 476,689 and 8,436 deaths.
Morocco has requested enough vaccinations for 33 million people and aims to vaccinate 80% of its population.
