On Monday, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced that only one death was recorded due to infection with the emerging coronavirus, in the lowest daily toll in more than a year.
This brings the total number of deaths to 8,683, with a death rate of 1.8%.
In the daily bulletin of epidemiological monitoring results, the Ministry added that 102 new cases of Corona were recorded, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 486325.
And Moroccan Prime Minister Saad Eddin El Othmani confirmed that his country is “relatively” controlling the Coronavirus pandemic thanks to a set of precautionary and health measures it has taken, which “citizens, in general, adhere to in a framework of interaction and cooperation.”
Last Thursday, the Moroccan government extended the state of health emergency for an additional twelfth month, until April 10, 2021, as part of measures aimed at curbing the spread of the disease in the country.
It is noteworthy that the number of people who received the first dose of vaccination in Morocco has reached three million and 913,615 people so far.
