The attorney added that Yulia Navalny was released from the police station in the New Moscow region (southwest of Moscow) after a report was filed against her accusing her of participating in an unauthorized campaign that caused “pedestrians to be restricted and traffic obstructed.”
Today, Sunday, Moscow, Petersburg and other Russian cities witnessed a second wave of campaigns in support of Navalny, who is pending a suspended prison sentence on charges of embezzlement.
The first demonstrations, which were declared illegal by the Russian authorities, and during which there were clashes between police and protesters, took place on January 23.
