“This approach, of course, does not add opportunities to normalize relations,” Ryabkov said. “Therefore, the responsibility for further deterioration in Russian-American relations, in any case, lies entirely with the United States, without any doubt.”
Earlier, Ryabkov said in his comment on the CIA report about alleged Russian interference in the 2020 elections and the threat of new possible sanctions, that these practices have become routine for Washington, stressing that the conclusions that came in the report are “baseless.”
A declassified US intelligence report revealed, on Tuesday, that external forces, including Russia, tried to influence the conduct of the US elections, and their aim was “to discredit President Joe Biden’s campaign and the Democratic Party, and support former President Donald Trump.
