Analysts have compiled a list of the most popular Russian cities for recreation this summer by processing plane tickets bought or booked by Russian citizens.
The analysis showed that Moscow tops the ranking of the most popular Russian cities in terms of summer recreation, and tourists on this route have reserved 20% of tickets.

The Russian RT TV channel, citing information from the OneTwoTrip website, said that the capital of the Russian Republic of Crimea, Simferopol, which wants to visit 14% of Russian tourists, ranked second in the rating. As for the city of Sochi in the North Caucasus, it occupied the third place.
It is noteworthy that the list of Russian cities that are popular with Russian tourists also includes Petersburg, Anapa, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Ufa, Gelendzhik.
The Russian Moscow Channel 24 reported that the average price for a plane ticket sold or booked was about 10600 rubles, equivalent to about 139 US dollars.
The Russian Izvestia newspaper said that the study conducted by analysts earlier showed that 10% of Russians intend on holidays in early May to visit other countries. The rest decided to visit Moscow, Petersburg, Sochi, Kaliningrad and Simferopol.
