New blow for Oatlands crash family: Mother describes her horror at finding a hooded burglar ransacking her home in broad daylight before making off with jewellery and precious memories
- Leila Abdallah lost three of her children in horror car crash on February 1, 2020
- A drunk and drug affected Samuel Davidson wiped out her family in an instant
- Now the Abdallah’s have had their family home ransacked by a brazen thief
- Among the many items stolen were treasured memories of the dead children
The mother of three children killed in a horror car crash last year has been left reeling again after their family home was ransacked in broad daylight.
Leila and Danny Abdallah’s house in Telopea, in Sydney’s north-west, was targeted by a callous thief at 11.45am on Wednesday.
The Abdallah’s lost three of their children in an instant on February 1 last year at Oatlands near Parramatta, when they were hit by an out of control 4WD with drug-affected Samuel Davidson at the wheel.
Mrs Abdallah’s children – Antony, 13, Angelina, 12 and Sienna, 9 – perished in the horrific crash along with their cousin Veronique Sakr, 11.

The heartbroken mother was inside her home looking at photos of her kids when she spotted a man walking out her front door with a bag full of stolen family items.
‘They took my bag, our jewellery, one of my children’s phones, but the biggest thing is they took memories,’ she told The Daily Telegraph.
‘They opened my bedside table where I have a photo of my kids on badges of my kids and Veronique [Sakr] and they didn’t care.’
Recently released CCTV footage from NSW Police shows a man in black pants and a black hoodie running from the home.
He then fled the scene with an accomplice in what police believe was a stolen white Audi.
Cumberland Police Area Commander Detective Superintendent Darryl Jobson labelled the thief ‘abhorrent’ after what the Abdallah family has endured the past year.
‘I appeal to the conscience of the people responsible for the crime to hand themselves into the police,’ he said.
‘It is absolutely disgusting. It is abhorrent to enter anyone’s home whilst the person is in there.’
Police also hold the belief the robbery was opportunistic and was not intentionally targeting the Abdallah family.
The intruder is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 183cm tall and aged in his 20s with light hair.

Police, using a helicopter and dogs, were unable to locate the men, who remain at large.
The pair are also believed to attempted another home invasion in nearby Dundas.
Earlier this month, Davidson was jailed for a minimum of 21 years in the Parramatta District Court for four counts of manslaughter.
With time already served, he will be eligible for release in January of 2041.
