A mother-of-three has gone viral on social media for her very relatabl house tour which shows everything from an unmade bed, a mattress in the hallway to dirty dishes in the kitchen sink.
Emma Mead, 34, from Essex, who has three children, aged 11, nine and three, created the amusing videos on TikTok in a bid to normalise the homes of busy parents and to be more ‘relatable.’
Speaking to FEMAIL, Emma, who works part time and joined TikTok after the first lockdown, explained: ‘I did not expect for the videos to get the attention that they have done. My videos are for fun and I enjoy making them.’
The busy mother, who says you can ‘hear the sarcasm in her tone’ in her recent videos, continued: ‘To be able to have a laugh and a joke about those things around the home that need sorting is why I think they have been so relatable to others. It’s normal for things which feature in my videos to happen.’

Emma went on to explain how another creator on TikTok, who lives in America, has created similar videos, which she tagged as her inspiration in her first video, but at that point Emma says she hadn’t seen any UK versions.
In one amusing clip the mother-of-three posted to social media, she starts by saying: ‘Let’s walk around my house, so you don’t feel bad about yours.’
Then, the camera zooms to various messy locations around her house which proud homeowners would usually try and hide – but not Emma.
‘Here’s my bed, which is never made,’ she explains. ‘Featuring the one corner where the sheet never quite fits properly.’
She then focuses on the banister in the hallway which is piled high with wet towels which have just been flung on the nearest available surface and jokingly quips: ‘Why hang towels in the bathroom when the banister is perfect for that?’
Emma jokes she’s ‘quite proud’ her lounge light only has three lights working, before revealing she also has one of those ‘essential baskets, that acquires all of the random c****’
Next up is the living room, to which she says: ‘We’re actually quite proud of the fact our lounge light only has three lights working…’
‘Our house also features one of those essential baskets, that acquires all of the random c****.’
In a second video, Emma captures a short clip of a large pile of clothes which have been flung onto the floor and jokes: ‘These clothes haven’t been worn since 2019…because they need to be ironed!’
She then focuses in on a ‘HOME’ sign which hangs on the kitchen fridge and explains she keeps it indoors in case she forgets where she is – adding that the photograph still features the ‘original models.’

Another amusing video shows Emma taking social media users on a tour around her bedroom.
Sharing a glimpse of a washing basket filled to the brim with clothes, she narrates: ‘Don’t bother putting clean washing away…you can just live right out of the basket.’
Then taking viewers to her dressing table, she jokes: ‘Everything essential a woman could ever need…including a broken pair of nail scissors.’
Delighted social media users have urged Emma to keep sharing relatable videos – with many praising her for the refreshing content which makess a change from the seemingly ‘perfect’ lives usually portrayed online.
