A mum-of-six has offered a look inside her hectic schedule and the exact foods she eats after she shed more than half her body weight in 12 months.
Krechelle Carter, from Adelaide, South Australia, couldn’t stand for longer than 45 minutes after she tipped the scales at 140 kilos at her heaviest.
But the 30-year-old slimmed down to a size 12 from a size 20 after losing 75 kilos in one year by ditching processed foods, large meal portions and late night snacks.
She went from walking as little as 1,500 steps a day to 40,000 steps, and going from 3,000 calories daily to just 1,500 to 2,000.
‘It’s crazy where one can get in just over a year. I’m so proud of myself. Consistency and belief in the system,’ Krechelle wrote on her Instagram.

Her mornings start with getting her six kids ready for school.
As her husband Dave leaves for work, she would ‘run around’ to tidy the house and put a load of washing on.
After dropping her kids off at school, she would run errands, go through her bills, do the family’s grocery shop and then organise everything for the following day.
Krechelle also spends time on her freelance job as a writer.
Once that’s completed, she spends the next hour working out.
‘I lift for 45 minutes to an one hour. I normally pick one body part to focus on arms, legs or core,’ she said.
After her shower, she would meal prep her kids’ snacks, lunches and dinner for the next day.
She would return to the school pick her kids up then they would do their homework or go to school sports in the afternoon.
Her husband gets home from work at 5pm and the family would sit down for dinner.
Then she would leave for work where she umpires a sporting match.
‘I’m doing 30,000 to 40,000 steps in the evening. I’m seeing weight drop of quickly now because of the extra steps,’ she said.

‘I would say what’s worked for me is a combination of staying active (on my feet), a high protein diet, lifting heavy and resting when I get the chance,’ she said.
‘I also stay super hydrated I probably drink three to four litres of water a day. Which is a bit too much if you’re not running around so much.’

The mother who weighed 140 kilos at her heaviest has shed more than half her body weight
Determined to get on top of her weight once and for all, the mother started her journey with walking and cutting out processed foods and late night snacking
Krechelle – who was diagnosed with a chronic illness – said her weight had escalated following months of bed rest, multiple surgeries, steroids and medication.
Determined to get on top of her weight once and for all, the mother started her journey with walking and cutting out processed foods and late night snacking.
‘I started by walking more everyday, making sure I had two litres of water and I was eating smaller portions with higher amounts of protein,’ she said.
‘I promised myself I wouldn’t eat in the evenings past 5pm or 6pm because eating at night was a bad habit and I was not exactly reaching for the celery.
‘It was small changes everyday. And I’m still making changes.’
Eventually, she signed up to a gym and made healthy choices for her diet.
‘I put in the hard work in the gym… I don’t follow any type of eating but I eat mainly high protein, yoghurt, meat and fruits and vegetables,’ she said.
‘I normally go for a six to 10km walk with the dogs. And do 45 minutes of weights once the kids are in bed. I’m happy and I get it done.
The mother has been regularly documenting her weight loss on social media where she detailed her exact fitness and meal plans (pictured right six months into weight loss journey)
Krechelle said she feels happier and healthier more than ever as she now weighs just 65 kilos following her 75-kilo weight loss.
‘I’m not ashamed of where I’ve been but I am so bloody glad I decided to work hard and end up where I am, I have four days till my birthday,’ she said.
‘And last birthday I was so uncomfortable I had to buy a new size 20 dress because none of mine fit. This year I have plenty of options in a 12 to 14 and it feels fantastic.’
The mother said she has planned ‘many goals’ to accomplish over the next 12 months – and for the next 30 days, she will be walking and lifting weights daily.
And while she stills to a healthier diet, Krechelle said she still treats herself.
‘If I need a bagel or a Magnum ice cream, I’m going to do it,’ she said, adding: ‘I’m Looking forward to smashing some more goals and maintaining my happy, healthy lifestyle.’
Before her remarkable weight loss, Krechelle said she struggled with her daily life.
‘I couldn’t stand for longer than 45 minutes without my feet ballooning and feeling out of breath,’ she wrote in a post in June.
But her turning point came when she wanted to be able to ‘keep up with my kids’.
