Chatel Mila said the simple chore takes just five minutes to do and can not only lead to a cleaner house, but also prolong the life of your devices and appliances.

‘All it takes is five minutes to clean your filters and remove hidden dirt around your home, she posted on TikTok.
‘It’s such an over-looked task, but is so easy. When was the last time you cleaned your filters?’
The first filter Chantel said you need to be cleaning regularly is your vacuum cleaner filter.
Experts recommend doing this task at least once a month, or more frequently if you’re someone who vacuums regularly.
‘To clean your vacuum filter, simply wash it in cold water and then let it air dry,’ Chantel posted in her video alongside a demonstration.
