The big men Indiana Pacers player Myles Turner will be out for at least two weeks after being diagnosed with a stress reaction in his left foot, the organization has announced.
After this period, it will be evaluated again, although it is expected that it will be away from the courts for more time. The journalist from ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski has suggested that he will not wear a short before the market closes on February 10. Let’s remember that the Pacers have put the player on the market, so the interested franchises will be very aware of his state of health.
The latest information, published by HoopsHype, collects that Indiana would be interested in receiving two first rounds of the draft or a future first round plus a young player in exchange for him. Previously, various media had published rumors about potential suitors, including the Raptors, Lakers, Mavericks, Hornets and Knicks.
Now, this injury is a setback to be taken into account for the player, franchise and interested teams. Turner has another year left on his contract at $18 million. His averages this season amount to 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 42 games, all of them as a starter.
For its part, the Pacers’ season is inevitably rushing towards the high places of the 2022 draft. After losing nine of their last ten games they have fallen to 13th position in the Eastern Conference.
