BSimmons, a player for the Brooklyn Nets, will undergo surgery to solve his back problems that prevented him from competing in this NBA season, his team reported in a statement on Wednesday.
Simmons suffers from a herniated disc and, after undergoing several medical check-ups by different specialists, he agreed to have surgery this Thursday to “relieve his back pain.”
The Australian player has not played an official game since June 2021, when he was a member of the Philadelphia 76ers and was eliminated by the Atlanta Hawks in the ‘playoffs’.
Recal last February in the Brooklyn Nets in an operation that took James Harden to the 76ers.
However, he never debuted with the Nets despite accompanying his teammates in all their games, alleging back problems and also a difficult psychological situation.
The Nets have already finished their season in the NBA, being eliminated by the Boston Celtics with a resounding 4-0 in the first round series of the Eastern Conference.
