‘That is a seminal moment for me’: NBA TV’s Greg Anthony blames the punch Draymond Green threw at Jordan Poole for the Warriors’ early season struggles as he claims reigning champion ‘is NOT a cohesive unit’
NBA TV analyst and formerpoint guard Greg Anthony has blamed Draymond Green’s preseason punch for the Golden State Warriors’ slow start.
Green infamously punched teammate Jordan Poole during practice, to which he then spent several days away from the team. Warriors lost to the Suns Wednesday night.
‘I go back to when all the craziness started with Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. I still firmly believe, yes, they got strong leadership in their locker room and their front office,’ Anthony told NBA TV.
Greg Anthony said he believes the punch thrown by Draymond Green in preseason is to blame for the Golden State Warriors’ struggles
‘That is a seminal moment for me. I still think this group is dealing with that.
‘They’re going to say all the right things, but the real proof is when you watch them play. This is not a cohesive unit.
‘They don’t seem to have the same level of fire or trust, particularly on the defensive end.’

The Warriors have gotten off to a 6-9 start this season and are yet to win a game on the road.
Outside of Stephen Curry who scored 50 points in the team’s last game the Warriors’ entire roster has struggled at one point or another.
Anthony went on to add: ‘The rest of the league is licking their chops. They’re looking forward to playing them now.’
Green was not suspended for his actions but did receive a fine. He said he ‘doesn’t care’ about the backlash to his brutal sucker-punch on Poole.
