NBA icon Michael Jordan is best known for his legendary work on the basketball court – but there is another, very different, sport close to his heart.
The 60-year-old is huge on NASCAR, and is regularly spotted trackside watching some of the biggest names race – so where better to take his wife Yvette Prieto than a night celebrating the popular series.
MJ and Prieto, 44, headed out on a rare date night in Nashville last week to celebrate the start of the NASCAR Ally 400 race weekend.
The pair lit up the red carpet as they posed for pictures at the Electric Jane, where a whole host of other celebrities and big names joined them.
Bubba Wallace, one of NASCAR’s biggest stars, was in attendance, while his rival Kurt Busch, and country music star Garth Brooks also showed up.

Jordan keeps a very low profile with his wife, as the pair this year celebrate a decade of marriage.
They met in a Miami nightclub in 2008, and Jordan proposed to the Cuban-born model three years later in 2011.
They tied the knot in 2013 at a lavish ceremony at Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, with the likes of Tiger Woods and Spike Lee in attendance.
In recent weeks, Jordan has been in the headlines amid reports he is selling his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets for an eye-watering $3BILLION, after 13 years as the owner of the NBA team.
Just last week, they picked Brandon Miller as No 2 overall in the 2023 Draft, and while MJ is said to be keen to relinquish overall control, he is reported to be keeping a minority stake in the team.Â
Jordan purchased a minority stake the Hornets back in 2006, but became the majority owner of the team in 2010.
Jordan’s tenure with the Hornets has been fraught with poor results, unlucky deals, and bad management – including by Jordan himself.
Since MJ took over, the Charlotte Hornets have gone 423-600 with only three winning seasons
Jordan is most famous for his incredible NBA career, in which he won six championships
Since his first full season of majority ownership in 2010-11, the Charlotte Hornets have put up a combined record of 423-600 – with only three winning seasons.
In that time, they made only two playoff appearances in 2014 and in 2016 – both ending in the first round through losses to the Miami Heat.
Since that last playoff appearance in 2016, the Hornets never finished higher than ninth in the Eastern Conference.
It all culminated in last season with a 27-55 record – seeing Charlotte finish 14th in the conference and last in their own division.
