AAlthough since last Thursday they took it for granted in the United States, this Saturday it became official that Manu Ginbili be a member of basketball hall of fame, as announced by the committee itself. In addition to the former Argentine player, other legends and former players will be at the induction ceremony, such as Tim Hardaway, George Karl, Swin Cash o Lindsay Whalen.
The class of 2022 headed by ‘Manudona’ will live its moment of splendor next September 10 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Ginbili’s contribution to basketball is enormous. He is without a doubt the best Argentine player of all time and, together with Bill Bradley, the only ones who have won the Euroleague title, the NBA ring and Olympic gold. He has also been an All Star twice, best Sixth Man in 2007-08 and had a huge role in the Spurs who won four NBA champion titles.
“Another of the things that you are never when you start to bite the orange ball! Thank you to everyone who has accompanied me on this path!” Ginbili wrote on his Twitter account after receiving the news.
In addition to Ginbili, Tim Hardaway, Swin Cash, George Karl, Lindsay Whalen, Bob Huggins, Hugh Evans, Marianne Stanley will receive their induction into the Hall of Fame on September 10. There were more elections by committees from veterans, Lou Hudson, contributors, Del Harris and Larry Costello, veterans, Theresa Shank-Grentz, and international, Radivoj Korac.
