En the start of the season, the Lakers are choking on the third quarters. The Angelenos are playing a very irregular game that just after the break usually hits rock bottom. It is as if the players came out cold, without tension, without concentration or all three together. This means that so far this year they have lost the third periods by 89 points!
Of the 15 games played so far, the Lakers have only won the third quarter set six times and never because of too large differences. However, on some of the nine occasions they have lost it, they have taken forceful blows from which it has been impossible for them to get up.
Last morning the partial favorable to the Bulls was 25-37. The Suns have already outscored them 23-37. Spurs 35-24. Bad records, but not humiliating as against the Thunder, who endorsed them 41-23; against the Blazers, who scored 42-26; and especially against the Timberwolves, who ridiculed them with a 12-40 in which the Lakers went eight minutes without scoring in play and received boos from their own fans.
Given those sets and the -89 points they have in the third quarters, one wonders what will the Lakers do at halftime and then come out so badly?
