Nestlé will open a new factory in Smolyhiv, in western Ukraine, with an investment of 40 million Swiss francs (about 43 million dollars), the Swiss giant in the agri-food sector announced Monday.
“Nestlé announces the opening of a new production center in Ukraine,” the company said in a statement, which had three factories in the country before the start of the war.
The new factory, located in the Volyn region, will form, together with another factory located in Torchyn, Nestlé’s regional center for food and culinary products.
This network, which will supply the Ukrainian market and other European countries, will employ 1,500 people, the group said in a statement.
