The health authorities in the Netherlands announced the registration of 4,740 new cases of coronavirus and 85 deaths during the past 24 hours.
According to the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution in the Netherlands, there are now 2,240 active cases of corona in government hospitals, of which 645 are in intensive care.
The Dutch government said it would not lift the curfew after a fourth night of violent protests against mounting restrictions across the country to curb the coronavirus outbreak.

The country has been under strict lockdown since mid-December, and it is scheduled to last until at least February 9.
The government tightened the closure from 9 pm until 4:30 am, and the curfew came into effect on Saturday, which caused widespread public anger.
Shops were looted in Rotterdam and other cities, and Finance Minister Wopke Hoekstra said, “Those who committed these actions are scum” and more than 180 people have been arrested.
