The Pelicans are having a sweet moment in a difficult season. The Louisiana organization has not been able to count on Zion Williamson for now and Brandon Ingram was not present last night either. Despite such setbacks, they were able to defeat the Pacers 117-113 for their fourth victory in the last six meetings.
Devonte’ Graham, who played despite being doubtful until the last minute with left ankle problems, was New Orleans’ leading scorer with 25 points. He was key to the victory, since eight of his points (two triples) came in the last six minutes of the game. Questioned about this, he pointed out that he likes responsibility.
“I just want the ball at those moments. I just let my confidence flow. The coaching staff and everyone else has confidence in me so I just take those shots and thank God they went in.” guard.
Graham was very good, but he also had the excellent collaboration of Josh Hart, who posted a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, and that in the third quarter he suffered a sprained left ankle. «I sprained it, but the adrenaline of the moment allowed me to keep running. I’m sure it will hurt tomorrow, but it was just about racing and winning.”
