Citizens held banners directed against Netanyahu, reading “Go,” and others reading “Everyone is equal before the law.”
Several carried inflated plastic submarine models, in reference to the $ 2 billion purchase of German submarines that Netanyahu’s critics claim was involved in.
The protesters called on the Israeli prime minister to resign, due to corruption charges against him, noting that he had lost his popularity and his public’s trust in him collapsed, and that he “cannot manage the country in an adequate manner on charges of fraud, breach of trust and accepting bribes.”
For his part, Netanyahu denies all the charges against him, over a series of scandals involving media moguls and a billionaire.
