Young Thug has issued a public apology to rapper GloRilla after a leaked jail phone call revealed him making derogatory comments about her appearance. The conversation, which was with his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist, captured Thug harshly criticizing GloRilla.
Writing from jail on the social media platform X, the rapper retracted his statements. “First of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all, I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life,” he posted. “I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin.”
The apology was met with positive feedback from fans, who praised him for taking accountability.
In the leaked call, Young Thug was heard reacting to comparisons between GloRilla and Rihanna, stating, “That b— ugly as f—.” He continued to mock her physical features, adding, “I would not pursue her, like at all.”
Following the leak, GloRilla seemed to respond with a post of her own, writing, “Mind you dis da same n—a blowing my phone up to ask what color my eyes is lmaooo.”
This is the latest in a series of controversial phone calls allegedly leaked during Young Thug’s incarceration for the YSL RICO case. In another widely circulated recording, the rapper claimed he purchased $50,000 worth of streams for Gunna’s album DS4EVER to ensure it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart over The Weeknd’s Dawn FM.
