New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said that due to supply problems, the city had to reschedule 23,000 coronavirus vaccination appointments that should have happened this week.
“The delay in delivering the” Moderna “vaccine has contributed to supply problems, de Blasio said during a press conference, which causes delay in reaching our goal of vaccinating one million people by the end of this month.
He added, “We need the federal government to intervene to increase the quantity of the vaccine supplied, otherwise the doses will run out and more appointments will have to be canceled.”
And de Blasio had warned a few days ago that the doses of the Corona vaccine would run out this week and that the dates for receiving them would have to be canceled, unless a new quantity was obtained.
“We will not have any vaccinations until Friday. We aim to vaccinate 300,000 people this week, but we only have 92,000 doses,” he said.
