Paris Saint-Germain suffered a sudden and effective defeat by its host Lorient (2-3), in the match that brought them together yesterday, Sunday, in the 22nd round of the French Football League.
The home side took the lead with a goal scored by defender Laurent Aberjel in the 36th minute of the first half.
Brazilian star Neymar responded with two goals from two penalty kicks in the two minutes (45 and 58), the first of which was carried out in a sarcastic manner without looking at the ball.
Lorient turned the table on the “princes” team by scoring two successive goals in the last ten minutes, through each of the midfielder Yuan Wesa and Nigerian striker Terim Moffi, in the two minutes (80 and 90), respectively.
Neymar only reached his sixth goal this season, eight goals behind his team-mate Klian Mbambi, the league’s top scorer.
After this defeat, Paris Saint-Germain stopped at 45 points, and fell to third place in the league table, while Lorient raised his tally to 18 points, and occupies the eighteenth place on the Ligue 1 ranking.
