Lorenzo’s Locks: The 3 best bets you should consider for NFL Week 4
SportsPulse: Lorenzo’s picks have been like clock work going 2-1 each of the first three weeks of the season. For Week 4 he gives his three locks hoping to finally have the perfect weekend.
After a fifth Tennessee Titans player tested positive for COVID-19, the NFL postponed their Week 4 game with the Pittsburgh Steelers indefinitely.
The league released a statement Thursday morning which read:
“The Pittsburgh-Tennessee game scheduled for Week 4 will be rescheduled to later this season after one additional Titans player and one personnel member tested positive for COVID-19 today. An announcement of the new game date will be made shortly.
“The decision to postpone the game was made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel. The Titans facility will remain closed and the team will continue to have no in-person activities until further notice.”
The league had hoped to play the game Monday or Tuesday, but the Titans’ steadily rising number of coronavirus positives apparently made that untenable.
In addition to the five players – defensive lineman DaQuan Jones, long snapper Beau Brinkley, practice squad tight end Tommy Hudson and linebacker Kamalei Correa have already been placed on the COVID-19 reserve list – Tennessee has also had six staff members test positive for COVID-19.
It’s currently unclear how the NFL will fit the game into its 17-week schedule barring a shuffle of other games to align a new spot for the Titans and Steelers. Tennessee’s bye week is currently scheduled for Week 7, while Pittsburgh is supposed to be off for Week 8.
One solution would be for the Steelers’ currently scheduled game with the Ravens to be moved from Week 7 to Week 8, allowing Pittsburgh to face Tennessee in Week 7. Baltimore’s bye week would shift from Week 8 to Week 7 in that scenario.
