Australian musician Nick Weaver dies aged 37: Guitarist of psychedelic pop band Deep Sea Arcade loses battle with cancer, his family confirms
Nick Weaver, the guitarist and co-founder of Sydney psychedelic rock band Deep Sea Arcade, has died at the age of 37 after being diagnosed with bowel cancer.
He is being remembered by his family as a creative soul who ‘will be greatly missed’, reports Double J.
‘He was in the midst of many projects including recording a new album with The Tambourine Girls, a disco record with Salmon Brothers, as well as a solo record, which his bandmates have pledged to finish and release soon,’ his family said in a statement.
‘His creativity was only just blossoming, and he will be greatly missed.’
