(CNN) — Wedding season is officially open thanks to billionaire heiress and actress Nicola Peltz, 27, and Brooklyn Beckham, 23 (eldest son of British footballer David Beckham and former Spice Girl and designer Victoria Beckham), who tied the knot this weekend at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
Peltz wore a timeless Valentino couture dress, with a square neckline and an elegant train. Her stylist, Hollywood dressmaker Leslie Fremar, told British Vogue magazine that creating the dress was the “ultimate haute couture experience,” requiring several trips to the brand’s headquarters in Rome, a year of brainstorming and a transatlantic trip by the head seamstress herself for the finishing touches.
Although it was rumored at the time that Victoria Beckham might design her new daughter-in-law’s dress, Peltz told Vogue that seeking the help of Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli was a “no-brainer.” Picciloi has racked up a string of memorable fashion credits in the past year—from her all-pink viral show at Paris Fashion Week, to dressing CFDA-certified fashion icon Zendaya on nearly every red carpet. -. At the request of Peltz’s mother, former model Claudia Heffner Peltz, the dress was sewn with an evil eye talisman (an amulet meant to ward off the curse of jealousy) and a private message in blue thread.
The Beckhams -Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and David- were dressed by Kim Jones for the house of Dior. The groom wore a classic fit black wool tailcoat with lapels, white shirt, white waistcoat and white bowtie, decorated with an emerald cut diamond chain set by Anita Ko. Award-winning designer and mother of the groom, Victoria Beckham, arrived wearing one of her own designs, a floor-length silver dress, with silver lace and straps.
The lavish event was star-studded, with celebrity guests including Venus and Serena Williams, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsey. Peltz was walked down the aisle by her father, business magnate Nelson Peltz. “Thank you for the most beautiful weekend of my life,” Peltz wrote in an Instagram post that reflected the father-daughter moment. “You are the wind beneath my wings”.
Beckham and Peltz have also partnered with the humanitarian charity Care and apparently encouraged guests to make donations on their behalf to support civilians affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine.
