Niger’s Prime Minister Brigi Rafini visited two villages near the border with Mali on Sunday, after attacks on Saturday that killed 100 people.
And the local authorities in Tillaberi region in western Niger and residents had previously said that “many” people were killed on Saturday by armed men in the village of Chomu Bangu in the region, on the day the results of the presidential elections were announced.
