In a few hours the Chicago Bulls will catch the plane to be absent from their city during the next two games. To make up for their heavy loss against Indiana, Billy Donovan’s men will travel to Houston and Orlando, two of the most sportingly friendly destinations. Another great news for the Bulls is that Nikola Vucevic has packed his bags to travel with the team.
The Montenegrin center has missed his team’s last 7 games after contracting COVID-19. It has been two days since he came out of the isolation required by the health protocol, but he is still undergoing cardiovascular tests that give him the green light to play again. In fact, his coach has said that it is not certain that Vucevic will play the next game. Everything will depend on the instructions of the medical body, but the hope of the team is that it can be prepared to play the game against the Magic this Friday.
In his absence the team registers a 4-3 that significantly worsens the 8-3 achieved with him on the court. Even so, the Bulls have managed to solve a complicated stretch of the calendar without having one of the heads of their project. While Vucevic is the least proven All-Star player to date, his presence is key to raising the team’s competitive ceiling.
