Nissan maintains its commitment to Mexico with an investment of 700 million dollars by 2025

After maintaining for 13 consecutive years as the leading brand in sales of light cars in the country, Nissan Americas confirmed that it will invest more than 700 million dollars in Mexico by 2025.

In the framework of the visit of Jeremiah Papinpresident of Nissan Americas, highlighted that more than 700 million dollars will be invested over the next three years focused on manufacturing and reinforcing the automaker’s commitment to its operations in Mexico.

Even when its second immediate competitor was about to surpass the brand, Nissan accelerated the sales strategy and by the end of December 2022, five models were positioned as sales leaders in each of their segments, such as the Nissan March hatchback. with a 52% share, Nissan Versa with a 27.3% share, Nissan Sentra with a 26.9% share, the Nissan Kicks crossover that maintained its leadership with 15.1% and the Nissan NP300 pick-up continued as a market benchmark with 43.1 percent. .

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), Nissan achieved a 15.6% share of the Mexican automotive market, by selling 168,940 units of 1 million 86,058 cars.
