The division was clear at the Democratic convention over unlimited support for Israel, with 30 delegates from the “non-conformists” movement representing 700,000 voters seeking to force the Gaza issue onto the agenda and demanding a ceasefire.
The movement’s delegates also called on the party leadership to give them an opportunity to express their position, and on the sidelines of the conference they met with representatives of the American community and organizations supporting Palestinian rights.
