Nuevo León occupies the fifth national place in user claims to banks: Condusef

Monterrey, NL. The states where banks had the highest claims in the month of October were: Mexico City (20%), State of Mexico (14%), Jalisco (8%), Puebla (4%) and Nuevo León (4%) ), according to data from the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (driving).

“In October 2022, the CDMX presented the highest number of claims, according to the Condusef claims index, with a total of 20% participation and a total of 18,118 claims, with Edomex remaining in second place with 12,728, that is, , 14% of the total”.

In the case of Nuevo León, it ranked fifth, with 3,293 claims and a 4% share.

According to the Condusef complaint rate for every 100,000 contracts, the institution with the highest number of complaints was Scotiabank with 54, followed by Banorte con 39, HSBC con 33, citibanamex with 31 and Santander con 26.

On the other hand, the products with the highest claims were: the credit card had 23,833 claims throughout the country, which represented 26%; the debit card 22,318 claims (25%); savings accounts 8,247 complaints (8%); payroll accounts 6,785 (7%), and checking accounts 6,327 with (7%).

The main causes of complaints are unrecognized consumption (20%), unrecognized electronic transfers (16%), unrecognized charges in the account (8%), payment or deposit not fully or partially applied to the product or service (5 %) and withdrawal of cash in an ATM not recognized by the user, client and/or partner (4%).

The institutions that resolve the most in favor of the user are: BBVA with 44%; BanCoppel (37%), Santander (37%), HSBC (37%).
