“When analyzing the figures available from last year in terms of the total volume of new housing placed from January to November 2022, compared to the same period, we see that there was a 7.56% decrease nationwide and 258,119 new homes were sold. “.

“The leading state in the entire country was Nuevo León with 33,186 houses and a strong decrease of 11.24%, followed by Mexico City, with sales of 31,076 units, with an increase of 11.44%, and in third place Jalisco sold 23,268 homes and a drop of 5.43%,” said Jorge Paredes Guerra, president of Realty World Mexico.

The rise in the target interest rate in December was 10.50%, established by the Bank of Mexico and in the United States by the FED, at 4.50%, which “makes loans slightly more expensive, since banks have not impacted loans mortgages, with all that increase,” he said.

On the other hand, the annualized inflation index fell for November compared to previous months, to 7.8% in the country.

He explained that the average price of a home in the country, as of the third quarter of 2022, was 1,531,000 pesos, while the price index for new homes with mortgages grew by 9.4 percent.

In the Realty World Mexico Real Estate Monitor, Nuevo León maintained the leadership in the traditional segment, with a value between 1 million pesos and 1.8 million pesos, with the sale of 12,374 houses, from last January to November, this meant a decrease of -13.64%, followed by the State of Mexico, with 11,537 houses and a drop of -17.58%, Jalisco with 9,385 houses and a drop of -6.95 percent.
