As North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, the New York Lottery contributed $3.7 billion to support state education in the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Revenue is allocated to local school districts based on a formula that considers each district’s size and income level, ensuring that larger, lower-income districts receive a proportionately greater share of funding.
